Ok, so it's Tuesday. But I meant to write this yesterday but ran out of time. I'll just pretend it's still Monday....
I'm glad it's Monday because that means the funeral is over, the life sketch and musical numbers are over, and the speaking in church is over. This week doesn't seem nearly as daunting as last week did. I guess that's why i chose the picture I did...the rain is past and there is beauty again.
The funeral was beautiful, and although I lost total control over ALL of my emotions during the opening song, my prayers were answered as I felt a blanket of peace envelop me during the opening prayer. i was able to do the life sketch without crying (william says he probably cried more tears than I did) and Lilly (Jill) and I were able to play our Viola's without our hands shaking. My cousin Jake, who is 18 did the closing prayer, and it was probably the most beautiful, eloquent prayer I have ever heard. I realized in an instant that my "little boy cousins"aren't little boys anymore - somehow Jake turned into a man without me even realizing it.
I had to talk in church on Sunday - not William, just me. Totally unfair. My assigned topic was what it means to be converted as a lifetime member of the church. I based my talk around the talk by Elder Oakes - The Challenge To Become. It's a fantastic talk that I highly reccomend to anyone who needs to be converted.
Monday I went back to work, and it was kind of a relief to leave my messy house behind. William didn't have to work, and bless his heart, he cleaned it while I was gone. I'm sorry he puts everyone else to shame at being so wonderful. Work was good, though, and although I hate my job 89% of the time, Monday was one of those 11% good times.
Anyway, I'm glad it's a new week!

I am so glad this week is looking up for you. I love rainbows too, and all the gladness and beauty and light they bring after a dark storm. What a wonderful creation from our Loving Heavenly Father.
When is William going to come clean my messy house?? I'm glad you had a good monday. I hope you have a great Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
I loved the rainbow, and I'm glad your week is looking up from last week! Here's to a WONDERFUL rest of your week.
I was sorry to hear about your grandma. I know how much I miss my grandma - which is a little funny because it has been years since I lived close enouth to visit. I guess it's knowing that I couldn't visit even if I wanted to that does it. Hope the rest of the week is as nice as Monday!
Wow Ky! I didn't know you were on here. And I had no idea you've had so much going on. I know you are going to miss your grandma, but at least you'll always be able to see her again! Love ya Ky!
