Emmalee started walking the middle of April, and it was a blessing that William and I were both able to be there for her first steps. I prayed and prayed that she wouldn't start to walk while I was at work, and my prayers were answered one evening AFTER work when she suddenly decided to start walking. Walking is an old trick for her now, and she prefers to run everywhere instead of walk. She is full speed ahead wherever she goes. I thought she was hard to keep up with when she was crawling!
We have been putting in our garden this year (with Emmalee's help, of course!) and we've been pretty successful so far. We have corn, peas, carrots, onions, rhubarb, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and squash all coming up. And one potato. That might be all the potatoes we get because Emm was following along behind me while I was planting and took a bite out of every single raw potato. What can i say - she's an Idaho girl! She LOVES the dirt and enjoys playing in it, throwing it, and eating it.
We feel so blessed to have Emmalee in our lives - she fills every day with joy and sunshine. We also think she's pretty darn adorable! She is a happy baby that makes everyone around her smile and laugh.
Emmalee has started doing this funny thing where she squints up her eyes and "smiles" with her eyes when we get the camera out. It makes me laugh, and I had to share a picture of it.
William is working for SERVPRO of Idaho Falls and loves his job but wishes his hours were a little more steady.
Anyway, Emmalee is throwing books out of her crib instead of sleeping, so I probably had better go and referee the sleeping battle....
