I decided this morning that the official countdown to Emmalee needed to begin, so before our bundle of joy arrives (if she were to arrive at this time, 12:48 on her due date)I have.....
SIX shifts of work (which is 72 hours)
THREE Weeks and TWO days
TWENTY THREE days
FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY TWO hours
THIRTY THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY minutes
ONE MILLION NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED seconds....
Not that we're keeping track or anything. I made the comment to William yesterday that I think we're as ready as we're going to ever be for her arrival. Somedays I'm anxious for her to get here sooner, other days I want to add a couple more months. I guess it just depends on if I'm thinking with my heart or my brain. I'm anxious for her arrival and already love her, but the nurse side of me is afraid of all the things that could go wrong. I'm used to seeing sick babies and hearing about the bad things that happen. I rarely see or remember all the good things (like having a normal, healthy child) so I tend to expect something bad to happen or go wrong. Sometimes I have to remind myself that MOST babies are healthy and MOST pregnancies and labors are uncomplicated. I have to admit that I love being pregnant and have been extremely blessed with an easy pregnancy. There is something magical about feeling life moving inside of you and knowing that it is your own flesh and blood being nurtured and protected. William and I are taking predictions as to what she will look like (hair or no hair, color if she has hair, eye color, length, weight, etc.) so if you'd like to guess, feel free to let us know what you think!

hair- a little bit, not tons and light in color.
eye color: blue eyes for the first couple days at least...aren't those called "Hospital Blue"?
length: 19 inches
weight- 7lb 5oz

hair: I think she'll have some, but it's be on the brown side of the spectrum.
eye color: I'm guessing hazel eventually.
Length: 21 inches (from her dad I suspect)
Weight: 7lbs. 15oz.
Born on June 18th, just joking....June 3rd or 5th (Aunt Hannah would be THRILLED about this one!) at 7:30 p.m.
And people say I am bad when I blurt out "5 weeks 2 days" when asked how long I have left.
My guess about what she will look like. I think she will be the most beautiful little baby you have ever seen! Although for her sake, I hope she looks more like Kylie and less like William.
I can't wait to see pictures of her!
